The tours and flights are being booked as I type ... We managed to get a spot on the required tours in November. I'll be doing the amazing 23-day Spain, Portugal and Morocco trip and Varen will be joining me for the last 10 days touring Morocco :) I am so excited, I could burst! It's finally happening, it's all working out ... a bit of a compromise since I won't have Varen by my side for the whole trip, but thankfully he won't be missing the trip completely and we'll get to enjoy spending a night under the stars in the Sahara Desert after our camel safari and visiting the beaches of Essaouira together :)
It's gonna be fantastic ... and our first overseas trip together, which in itself will be a good learning curve about each other. I can't wait!

Make sure you stay in the Medina in Marrakech...
.. shopping is good. Leather bags, luggage etc.. but as you are travelling around, guess its not going to be possible?
Wow! So exciting. Very happy for you and Varen. Something big to look forward to.

@jenty - Thanks :)
Ooooh I'm so jealous!! :) I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time! :)
Oh my word you're going to have the best time ever! Such a great trip and you get to do some of it with Varen! I had the time of my life doing France with MM, it drew us so close together!
So excited for you ;-)
@jane - thanks :)
@benny - yeah, it makes me nervous, but I'm looking forward to it. Even tho we live together, I don't think you really know someone till you've been traveling overseas with them :)
essaouira is really close to marrakech (like 1 or hours by bus), go there and have a tour of JAMAA EL FNA it's a really nice place. Go there to a restaurant, order a TAJINE (say "tajine bel berkouk"), should be fine, or have a COUSCOUS and enjoy the place. By night it's particularly great! Enjoy morocco miss! ;)
@ilias - essaouira is actually the last stop on our tour so I will definitely try to remember your tips for then ;) Thanks!
